Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
